ABOUTOn the 12th of May 2009 the 1st international conference “Ukraine’s Carbon Market - 2009” will be held in the conference-centre of President Hotel (Kiev, Hospitalna Str. 12) Purpose of the Conference is to discuss key aspects of the National GHG emission allowances market creation, which will promote implementation of the market mechanisms in the Ukraine’s economy ecologisation process. The mission of the conference is to create the National system of GHG emission trading and to promote active participation of the Ukrainian business in economic mechanisms of Kyoto protocol. The Conference organizers – Environmental Investments Fund and Derzhzovnishinform Centre – offer to Ukrainian business to define the priorities of the development of the GHG emission reduction market and learn more about possibilities of its expansion. Business representatives will get reliable information about features of KP economic mechanisms functioning, as well as prospects of new liabilities for GHG mitigation in post-Kyoto period, especially for Ukraine’s enterprises. Participants will also estimate benefits and risks concerning emission market creation and get qualified expert consultations for state regulation of GHG emissions in Ukraine. Delegates of Government and State Institutions, as well as representatives of international organizations, leading national and foreign companies will take part in the Conference.
